Yes, THE SCROLL is about an ancient Egyptian scroll that Jake Tanner inherits. But it’s also a story about love.
Jake’s heart belongs to his wife, Brie, his first and only love, and since her death, his lost love.
But he has another kind of love, too. The love for his dog, a golden retriever named Dutch. And still another kind of love claims him, the love of an unwavering friendship, the kind of love he has for his cousin Linda.
Lastly, Jake wrestles with the guilt of a new love. His heart was meant only for Brie – he swore there’d never be anyone else for him. But life doesn’t always go according to plan and when love, in the shape of a girl named Tara, unexpectedly walks into his life, he doesn’t know how to handle it.
Dutch loves Jake and shows it with her slobbery kisses. Linda loves him and shows it through her support. Tara shows her love for him by being patient; by helping him understand that a heart can hold many loves – affectionate love, platonic love, new love, and, first love.
THE SCROLL is filled with love – all kinds of love. Sexual love. Faked love. Timeless love. New love. And love that will never die.
